Andere Quellen beschreiben, dass Monticchiello während eines Konflikts mit Florenz und Montepulciano für 2.000 Gulden an Florenz verkauft wurde und bis 1401 unter deren Kontrolle blieb, als es aufgrund eines Friedensvertrags wieder in den Besitz von Siena überging. Die Mitglieder der Familie stammten aus Murello, Florenz und Arezzo oder verbreiteten sich dorthin. (vgl. E. Repetti, Dizionario geografico fisico storico della Toscana. III, 564.) - Der Stammbaum entspringt dem Schoß einer Ahnenfigur, die auf jeder Seite von einem Blumenrahmen umrahmt wird, und wird von einem Wappen mit Blumendekoration gekrönt, das in zwei Textfeldern vermerkt ist. - Spuren einer alten Restaurierung.
