Description
Native American, Southwestern United States, Anasazi (Ancestral Puebloan), ca. 850 to 1150 CE. A white-ground pottery jar, formed via the coil-and-scrape technique, with an apple-shaped body and a strap handle on the verso. The exterior surfaces are adorned with black-painted linear and checkerboard motifs, perhaps representing corn, and a single black stripe is painted around the rim. Size: 6" L x 5.8" W x 5.75" H (15.2 cm x 14.7 cm x 14.6 cm)

Condition
A couple of stable fissures, with hole on one side, minor abrasions and fading to pigment, and light earthen deposits, otherwise in great condition. Nice preservation to black-painted motifs.
