Native American, Southwestern United States, New Mexico, La Plata region, Ancestral Puebloan (Anasazi), Pueblo III, ca. 1100 to 1250 CE. A beautiful and quite rare pottery bowl that was formed via the traditional coil-and-scrape method to present a hemispherical form with a round yet stable base. Enveloped in red slip, the interior is adorned with black-painted rhomboid and lightning motifs along with linear patterns, while the exterior is left bare. Size: 8" Diameter x 3.5" H (20.3 cm x 8.9 cm)
