Pre-Columbian, Ecuador, La Tolita - Tumaco, ca. 350 BCE to 350 CE. A fine hand-formed figure depicting a standing warrior holding a neck vice dressed in a tunic. The warrior is adorned with a cuff bracelet, wide incised collar, ornately decorated headdress, and ear spools. The figure has a non-working whistle. This type of figure was typical for use in ceremonies and funeral burials. Size: 7 1??4” Tall, 3 7/8” Wide, 2 5/8” Deep. The figure is missing one disk on the headdress. And has a chipped ear spool.
