Pre-Columbian, Ecyador, La Tolita- Tumaco c.350 BC.350 AD. Size 6 3/4 inches high. A fine hand-formed figure depicting a standing warrior holding a club dressed in a tunic. The warrior is adorned with a cuff bracelet, beaded necklace, headdress and ornate sash. The figure has a non-working whistle. Holes near the ears werew used for additional organic decorations such as feathers. This type of figure was typical for use in ceremonies and funeral burials.
