A marble relief fragment with a concave Clipeus showing the bust of a man with Greek dress holding a rotulus. Provincial style, 1st - 3rd century A.D. The piece has been reused after the antique and worked over with architectural profiles at the sides. Left side broken. Crack at the left top corner. Clipeus mit Männerbüste. Römische Kaiserzeit, 1. - 3. Jh. n. Chr. Weißer, feinkristalliner Marmor, H 20,5cm B 26cm T8,5cm. Relief mit einem konkavem Clipeus, in dem die Büste eines bartlosen Mannes mit kurzem Haar erscheint. Er trägt griechische Kleidung und hält eine Schriftrolle in der Rechten. Das Stück wurde offenbar nachantik als Spolie verwendet, denn es weist auf den anderen Seiten verschiedene Profile auf. Links Bruchkante, kleinere Bestoßungen, Riss links oben. Provenienz: Aus Familienbesitz M., Bayern, seit vor 1960.
