William McKinley TLS as Governor of Ohio, December 5, 1895 While Seeking Presidency
1p, measuring 7.25" x 10.5", Columbus, Ohio, dated December 5, 1895. A typed letter signed "W McKinley", addressed to Charles U. Gordon, concerning an upcoming event. On Office of the Governor letterhead, it reads in part: "…I am sure that the matter of the banquet is in good hands. For your kindly interest I beg that you accept my most grateful acknowledgments." With flattened mail folds and faint soiling. Large and bold signature.
