Description
A group of 3 Roman silver coins. Lot includes a Republic Denarius from 207 BC from the Crescent series, (17.5 mm, 3.68g), with head of Roma and the Dioscuri riding rt. The other two are Denarii of the emperor Septimius Severus, AD 193 - 211, struck at Rome. One features Victory advancing lt., (18 mm, 3.26g) and celebrates his Parthian victories, the other (18 mm, 3.43g) depicts the emperor standing. Ex Chicago private collection.
