Greek, Kingdom of Cappadocia, 1st century BCE; Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 2nd to 3rd century CE; South Africa, ca. 1945 CE. A collection of 4 coins, 3 silver & bronze from ancient Classical eras and a single South African coin from 1945 CE. The silver 3 pence: Obverse: King George VI head facing left. Reverse: protea flower. The bronze follis coin: Obverse: Constantine II. Reverse: Soldiers holding spears and standards. Silver Cappadocia Drachm: Obverse head of Ariobarzanes I facing right; Reverse: Athena Nikephoros standing to left, holding spear and shield. Silver denarius: Obverse head of Severus Alexander; Reverse: Abundantia (personification of abundance) pourings coins / fruit. Size of silver denarius: 0.73" Diameter (1.9 cm); silver quality: 66.5% 94.9%; total combined weights: 11.5 grams
