Very scarce piece of sheet music from the 1912 Republican National Convention held in Chicago, Title of the song is "Teddy" by Minnie M. Seymour sung to the tune of "John Brown's Body, The hand drawn cover artwork depicts Teddy Roosevelt giving a speech in the top left corner,bottom right corner has a cylinder phonograph with a horn and the voice of the people coming out of the horn, published by Progressive Pub Co. from East St.Louis IL, Back cover has a letter from Roosevelt of thanks to Miss Seymour for sending him a copy and also a cartoon at the bottom showing Taft and Roosevelt in the ring together. Roosevelt ran as a progressive beating Republican Taft in the primary, but would lose to Woodrow Wilson in the general election. As this was a souvnier of the 1912 Republican Convention it was never sold to the general public, very scarce, overall in good condition , tattered on top, no rips or tears, Measures 14"tall, 10" wide
