Typed letter on official State of New Jersey Executive Department letterhead, dated October 10, 1911, as Governor of New Jersey. Signed in black ink "Woodrow Wilson". Letter with original postmarked envelope with two cent stamp, addressing Dr. Charles S. Palmer of New York City. Paper 9.75 x 7.75, tipped to backing mat with clear plastic corners, matted and framed under glass in wood frame, overall 14.25 x 12.75. Original envelope included, attached to back within enveloped affixed to frame backing, 4 x 5.25 in. "October 10, 1911. My dear Palmer: Your letter of October seventh is just received. I am sorry to say that I do not know where you can find me this week, since I am on campaign and cannot predict twenty-four hours beforehand where I shall be at any given hour. Could you not make it convenient to see me after the election? In haste,

Condition: creasing from folding, 1/4 in tear at top of center-fold. light handling soils, minor ink smudging, three dot sized brown spots. Type and signature vibrant and very nice. Frame with a few scuffs. Original envelope with chips and losses.
