An interesting A.L.S., Paul W. Tibbets, two pages, 8vo, n.p., 2nd May 1985, to Andrew. Tibbets informs his correspondent, in full, 'From Sept. 1944 until August 1945 I had plenty of time to consider the bombs and their potential. When I dropped the one on Hiroshima I had a pretty good idea of its magnitude. Drop one again? If you could give me the same conditions that existed at that time (1941-1945) - I would not hesitate'.
