This is a very interesting old and original musical instrument from the Luba peoples of the Congo, Africa. A carved wooden Thumb Piano body ( The metal keys are all gone) that was decorated with several fascinating designs, including an old plane, and a siganture, as well as the date ( 1951 and 1960 ) A very rare example of a Luba thumb piano! Provenance: Ex. Moses Asch, founder/owner of Folkways records. 16 inches tall x 7.5 inches wide.
