This is a very rare old and fascinating bronze vessel from the Yoruba peoples, Nigeria, Africa. Cast bronze with a highly stylized face and some hanging accouterments, the vessel has a well worn and weathered surface. Yoruba peoples, Nigeria, Africa. Provenance: Field collected in 1962-1965 by Louise Clark while working as a Peace Corps member. The pot measures 6.25 x 4 inches.
