Near East, Holyland, Iron Age, ca. 1200 BCE. Two early buff terracotta oil lamps, the more pristine example of a rounded, almost bowl-like form with a pronounced pinched spout. Created and used in the Holy Land. Size: the larger example measures 6" L x 5.75" W x 2.25" H (15.2 cm x 14.6 cm x 5.7 cm)

Ancient Rome, ca. 2nd to 4th century CE. A petite Roman terracotta oil lamp fragment with a nicely impressed geometric pattern on the shoulder. Size: 2.875" L x 2.25" W x 1.25" H (7.3 x 5.7 x 3.2 cm)
