Author: Rudyard Kipling - Joseph Rudyard Kipling was an English poet, short-story writer, and novelist chiefly remembered for his celebration of British imperialism, tales and poems of British soldiers in India, and his tales for children. Kipling received the 1907 Nobel Prize for Literature. He was born in Bombay, in the Bombay Presidency of British India, and was taken by his family to England when he was five years old.

Book Details: The twenty-five volumes in this decorative antique set are bound in handsome brown cloth stamped with gilt lettering and spine adornment and an ivory colored emblem on the front board.

For the convenience of the reader, this "Outward Bound" Edition groups the stories by subjects. For instance, "The Mowgli stories have been collected in one volume and arranged in sequence." The preface to this edition is written by Kipling, himself.

A sample of other tales included are; "Soldiers Three;" "In the Black and White;" and "The Phantom Rickshaw" just to name a few.


Condition / Notes: The decorative antique twenty-five volume set shows handsomely bound in brown cloth, stamped with gilt lettering and spine adornment and with an ivory colored emblem on the front board.

The books show some age/wear externally concentrated at the extremities, including slight chipping at the top of the spine on some volumes.

The bindings are tight and secure, pages are bright and clean and there is light age toning throughout.
