Description
CIVIL WAR ERA TIN CANTEENS, LOT OF TWO, so-called Pattern 1858, "Bullseye" circular form, one marked to neck "HADDEN, PORTER & BOOTH", the other with mostly illegible mark, but most likely including "PHILA." Circa 1861. 7 5/8" D body.
Marked "HADDEN, PORTER & BOOTH" example in very good condition, with expected minor surface corrosion, one or two minor dents, including one to the spout, and some solder repairs, the other with significant dents and surface corrosion.
Provenance: From the private collection of the late William Becker, Bridgewater, VA.
