West Africa, Nigeria, Igbo peoples, ca. early to mid 20th century CE. A finely-carved wooden face mask displaying a petite mouth with parted lips and bared teeth. Covered in light-brown patina, this is a wonderful example! Size: 4.5" W x 7.5" H (11.4 cm x 19 cm).
