Description
Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A hand-blown vessel, made from blue-green glass, with a concave base and a smooth pontil. The globular body gently narrows to a thin neck, with a wide mouth formed by a petite, flared rim. Luscious areas of windswept silvery and rainbow-hued iridescence grace the exterior with a palette of emerald, sapphire, amethyst, citrine, and ruby hues. A wonderful example from the mighty Roman Empire! Size: 3.375" H (8.6 cm).
