Unusual old wood sculpture from the Congo, Africa and the Ugbandi peoples. the Ugbandi live along the Ugbandi river and the tribe can be found in neighboring Sudan as well. This clever carving of an ancestor appears to also have a "cross" necklace carved in relief around the figures neck, suggesting a Christian influence.Measures 18 inches tall.
