Description
This is a very rare and impressive old carved wooden stool , with tall carved ancestor sculpture back rest, incised designs and open work legs. This stool collected in Tanzania by Professor Charles Bordogna in 1990 for an Exhibit at the SMA Fathers Museum of African Art called "A Tanzanian Tradition". The stool measures 31 x 12 inches. Provenance: Ex Prof. Charles Bordogna, NJ, Dr Brian Healy estate, NY
