ENGLISH LUSTRE AMERICAN HISTORICAL CERAMIC PITCHER, having a yellow ground around the middle with transfer-printed design of Lafayette on one side and Cornwallis "Resigning his Sword at York Town Oc.19.1781" on the opposite, copper lustre at top and bottom and decorated over the yellow ground. Unmarked. Staffordshire and other areas. Circa 1825. 5 7/16" H.
Excellent, undamaged condition. Minor wear to lustre and decoration on front side and edges of handle.
