Description
ENGLISH CERAMIC ARTICLES, LOT OF TWO, comprising one covered sugar bowl, diminutive, molded with basketweave patterns, with two flat foliate handles to the sides, the cover having a bundled sheaf of wheat as the finial, impressed "WEDGWOOD / A" to underside; and one smear-glazed pitcher, molded with neo-classical motifs of columns and figures, the lower third of the pitcher molded with panels of acanthus leaves, accented with green lines, unmarked. Staffordshire and other areas. Circa 1815. 3" H and 5 1/4" H.
Excellent, undamaged condition. Manufacturing crack to underside of handle on pitcher, does not go through to front side.
