Description
ENGLISH TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC PITCHERS, LOT OF TWO, in blue, having molded and scalloped rim, high shoulder, molded spout and handle. Both having the same design, one in a darker blue, but only one with transfer-printed mark with "T MAYER LONGPORT" under a rampant lion and "CANOVA" in pattern and an impressed "25", other pitcher has a transfer-printed "3" and an impressed "32". Staffordshire. Circa 1830. 7 3/8" to 7 1/2" H.
Excellent, undamaged condition. Some wear and minor roughness, particular to high points on handles and on spout rim.
