Pre-Columbian, Peru, Sican/Lambayeque Valley, ca. 800 to 1000 CE. Cute pottery bridge spouted vessel with working whistle. Twin globes of rounded form support a feline on one side and flattened spout on the other. Whistles when liquid is poured from the vessel or if air is blown into the spout. Size: 8"L x 6-1/4"H.
Provenance: Ex-private Pavao collection, PA, acquired before 1980.
