Northern Peru, Sican/ Lambayeque to early Chimu, ca. 900 to 1200 CE. Attractive blackware jar in the form of a duck. Sitting on rounded conical base, duck's head emerges from one side, tail from the other, flared rim and two suspension loops. Size: 6-3/8"H (16,2cm).
Provenance: Ex-private Pavao collection, PA, acquired before 1980
