Description
Pre-Columbian, southern Peru, ca. 200 BCE. A very fine and desirable pottery bridge spouted vessel. Some of the most rare and desirable pottery from the Pre-Columbian world, this wonderful vessel is decorated with double imagery. One view shows a bird with its wings outstretched, bird's head emerging and looking toward the spout. From another angle you can see a toothy feline with 4 exposed fangs and incised almond-shaped eyes. Stunning jar! Size: 6.75" W x 6.5" H (17.1 cm x 16.5 cm)
