Ovale formée d'agate dentelle rouge et gris, la monture en or rose avec appuie-pouce en draperies gravé 'from W McD', apparemment sans poinçon, dans son coffret d’origine en cuir rouge

Une note manuscrite indique que cette tabatière fut donnée par W. Macdonald esq. à sa mère qui le redonne à sa belle-fille Mme W. Macdonald, qui la donne au capitaine Petrie.

Oval, the polished brown, orange and grey crazy lace agate with plain gold hinged mount and drapery thumbpiece engraved 'From W McD', in red leather case
A handwritten note indicates that this snuff-box was given by W. Macdonald esq. to his mother, who gave it to her daughter-in-law Mrs. W. Macdonald, who later gave it to Captain Petrie.
