1858 pattern officer's eagle Hardee hat insignia. Black velvet with gold and silver bullion embroidery enhanced with sequins and jaceron twisted wire. Eagle given black eye and red mouth. Buckram reverse is inscribed "abe."
Featuring an embroidered eagle with 13 stars, the insignia was worn on Federal officer's Hardee hats.
