Dogon Beak w/ Female Standing Figure - Aboriginal Indigenous Art - Once ritual ware for the Dogon people of Mali, Africa. Made of wood, which over time caused the figure to be separated. See pictures for condition. Carving depicts a female figure standing atop of the "beak" of possibly to depict a hornbill bird. Holes were made to be tied to a mask or headdress. Item comes from the collection of Timothy Koock. Ships from Austin, Tx.
