"Esu" Wooden Figure - Aboriginal Indigenous Art - Painted wood ritualware from the Yoruba people of Nigeria, Africa. Seated figure holding gourd-shaped object in left hand and knife in right hand, Mohawk styled headdress with knot at base of neck and tall crescent-shaped protrusion extending from top of head, scarification on cheeks, short neck, circular base, dark brown patina with red in crevices. Measures 18.5" high. Item comes from the collection of Timothy Koock. Ships from Austin, Tx.
