Alessandro Braccio (or Braccesi) was an illustrious man of letters, poet, notary and politician born in Florence in 1445 and died in Rome in 1503. The work of Appian, a Greek historian who lived in Rome, ca. 100-170 AD, had the merit of changing the usual annalistic structure of historiography.
