James Doolittle Signed Photograph in Uniform
An 8" x 10" photograph of General James Doolittle in full uniform. Signed and inscribed at top right: "To Mike Coen/ With every good wish./ J.H. Doolittle". Image produced by the Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company, with whom Doolittle served on the Board of Directors. Features minor surface imperfections, with slight feathering to signature. Very good overall.
James Harold Doolittle (1896-1993) was an American military general and aviation pioneer who received the Medal of Honor for his daring raid on Japan during World War II. He also made early coast-to-coast flights, record-breaking speed flights, won many flying races, and helped develop and flight-test instrument flying.
