A matte, full-color photograph depicting the launch of the Space Shuttle Challenger for the NASA mission STS 41-B, which launched two communication satellites as well as became the first mission to incorporate an untethered spacewalk. Measuring 16.5" x 20.5", n.p., ca. 1984. Signed and inscribed in black felt tip pen, "Bruce McCandless II/ STS 41-B". The shuttle mission would mark McCandless' first spaceflight, where he served as a mission specialist. Slight bumping to corners, else very good.
