Description
STAFFORDSHIRE "COLUMBUS" TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC TABLE ARTICLES, LOT OF THREE, each having border design featuring cartouches with assorted animal pairs, comprising a 6 1/8" D brown/sepia transfer plate featuring "Columbus" #15 pattern, a black transfer plate having "Columbus" #5 pattern, and an ovoid 8 7/8" x 7 1/8" open vegetable dish featuring light blue transfer Columbus #14 pattern. Marks to underside include printed anchor and flag with "Columbus" to cartouche and "W.A & S" below and impressed "ADAMS". William Adams IV & Sons, Stoke-on-Trent, England. 1829–1861. 1 5/8" HOA.
