Description
ASSORTED STAFFORDSHIRE-STYLE HAND-PAINTED CERAMIC FIGURES, LOT OF 11, comprising a pair of sitting cats with blue bows, a pair of black-spotted standing horses on an ovoid base, a pair of pillow-molded boxes having sitting cats to cover, a recumbent sheep pair, a pair of gilt-decorated sitting spaniels, and an African American man with a peg leg and playing the violin, having "BILLYWATERS" hand-brushed to base side. Marks to underside include black-printed "FF 1981", "FINE BONE CHINA / MADE IN BRITAIN", and cat box example retaining label for Japan. Together with a three-piece graduated set of Mason's-style pitcher with molded serpent handles, blue-printed crown mark with "IRONSTONE / CHINA" to underside. Fourteen (14) pieces total. 20th century. 8 1/2" HOA.
