Jack Kerouac's personal copy of "Charles Darwin: Evolution and Natural Selection" edited by Bert James Loewenberg. Boston: Beacon Press, 1959. Twelvemo, 434pp plus an Index. With illustrations throughout. Yellow paper wraps, decorated with illustrations of animals. Stamped with both a Jack Kerouac Estate stamp and the raised blind seal from the Executor of the Estate, John Sampas, who was the brother-in-law of Jack Kerouac and the brother of Stella Kerouac, Jack's wife. Worn and soiled covers. Faint toning to the internal page edges. Slightly curved and cracked spine. Slightly cocked. Very good overall.
