Alms House (Poorhouse) in the Hudson Valley, 1872.
Historic 19th C. Indenture from the infamous Alms-House in Newburgh, N.Y.
This original ink signed document concerns a child Levina Turner of the age of six to work as a housekeeper until the age of 18 years which at the end of servitude is to be given $10.00, two sets of clothing and a good new Bible.
Framed under glass.
Dimensions: framed: 20 1/4 inches x 16 1/4 inches., document: 12 1/4 inches x 7 3/4 inches.
