Description
A true antique Edwardian era tea dress made from a light blue grosgrain ribbed light weight cotton with fancy passementerie cord trim and the same cord formed into four raised rosette balls and hand embroidered designs in bodice.
Bodice has internal fabric covered boned stays with cotton corset lining with silk, and the skirt is unlined.
Having a fabric covered buckle at back and having elbow-length sleeve with corded passementerie trim with triple layered top sleeve pleats on bodice. Hooks and eye fastenings closure at front.
Makers label on inner belt reads: Smythe, Philadelphia.
Presents beautifully in person.
Note due to age being over 100 years old, this garment is best intended for display or study, but can easily be worn with care and is wearable.

CONDITION
Very good, little to no prominent stains, or repairs. This is in exceptional condition for its age, with no underarm discoloration. Bodice is cotton with some shredding of silk pieces in bodice lining.
