Two original stylish ladies dresses, c1910

LEFT DRESS
This vintage day dress dates from the early 1910. It is made of a soft black silk adorned with printed small cluster of flowers and accented with a small stand up collar and with a white lace trim collar. Front of dress has a hook and eye lace panel closure and vertical pleated ruffle accents back and front of the dress. This dress is a long tea length with a wide waist band sash, pleated waist, long sleeves with upturned cuff and black lace attached, and pleated ruffle at hem line and is lined in bodice and with no lining in skirt.

CONDITION
Very Good condition. When held up to the light I do see very small pin holes, otherwise unnoticeable, no fading, and no repairs. No underarm discoloration.

Black light weight silk with floral motifs.

RIGHT DRESS
This black velvet dress is a long tea length with a wide black brocade satin waist band sash attached. The sash continues down the front of the dress and the two streamers have chenille fringe tassel ends. Short sleeves, velvet shoulder cap with gathered white lace cuffs. The bodice has a deep scoop shaped neckline, trimmed with a orange colored silk trim, 4 fabric covered buttons and hook and eye front closure set to the side. Bodice is lined with a white cotton, and skirt is unlined.
