This is a truly magnificent Edwardian beaded gown from approx., 1912 era. One piece in construction formal gown The gown is made of a fine greenish lame fabric and the bead work is heavily beaded. The bodice has a square neck and is sleeveless. The front neckline is trimmed with a white tulle netting.

The bodice closes up the back with extensive hooks and eyes. The bodice is lined in a fine white cream colored silk. There is no underarm discoloration. Very little bead loss. I have included a small bag of a few beads I found in box when purchased.

The skirt is also trimmed with skillfully hand sewn bead work designs. The silk lining is in very good condition. Very little bead loss. This gown makes a beautiful and romantic display, and worthy of bringing back to its almost original glory.

Recently de-accessioned from the Rochester Historical Society Museum collection in New York state. Still retaining its original sewn in museum's identification catalog numbers tags. Provenance on a tag with donor's name, Mrs. Kenneth Field.

CONDITION

In very good condition, no holes, no repairs, no alterations, no stains. There is a small break in the lace netting in front bust cleavage area. Also a small tear inside lining. There is no underarm discoloration. Very little bead loss. I have included a small bag of a few beads I found in box when purchased.
