Lincoln "Penny Profile" Photo After Original Brady Negative, Amazing Pamphlet Included
Pamphlet, 16p (unpaginated), A life portrait of Abraham Lincoln: annual ladies' night and celebration of the Lincoln centenary, Hotel Astor, New York, February 16, 1909. Features a mounted albumen photo depicting Lincoln as frontispiece, with "300 copies printed for the Quill Club" on verso of title page. An article titled "A Brief Sketch of the Photographs of Lincoln" by Frederick Hill Meserve found between pages 7-9, followed by a list of speakers and Quill Club officers on 10-11. Evenly toned pages. Loose but intact sewn binding. Flexible, illustrated paper board covers with uneven edges to front. Good condition- a rare and interesting piece!
