Abraham Lincoln Photo, His Favorite Hesler Portrait

Photograph of Abraham Lincoln, taken on June 3, 1860 by Lincoln's favorite photographer Alexander Hesler, to whom Lincoln remarked, "That looks better and expresses me better than any I have ever seen; if it pleases the people I am satisfied." 19th-century oval photograph measures 6" x 8", printed on period paper. Very mild dampstaining, else near fine condition.
