Rodgers, Richard: Wonderful, Heartfelt TLS OF Thanks to Lifelong Friend, Novelist Edna Ferber Dated 1949 Plus Original Sheet Music from South Pacific (1902-1979) On of the most celebrated composers of the Broadway stage in the 20th Century, most certainly for his collaborations with Oscar Hammerstein and Lorenz Hart. Typed letter signed to his one-time neighbor and lifelong friend, author Edna Ferber. Dated May 4, 1949, Rodgers expresses such sincere and heartfelt thanks for a letter she sent regarding his musical, "SOUTH PACIFIC". A wonderful letter to the famed author, typed on Rodgers' letter head, 10 x 7½" and signed "Dick". Mint condition. Also included is sheet music for "I'm Gonna Wash That Man Right Outa My Hair" also from 1949 in mint condition as well as a revival touring production program from 1985. Estimated Value $500 - 700
