Description
ROOSEVELT, THEODORE. 1919-1858. A typed letter signed on White House stationery, dated January 30, 1902. The letter is marked "Personal" and is addressed to Henry Loomis Nelson, an American author/journalist, in Washington D.C. The letter reads: "My Dear Mr. Nelson: As soon as Governor Shaw is in I will get him to take up that matter at length with you." The typed portion is followed by an addition in the President's hand, which reads: "I thank you for the Atlantic article." The full sheet measures 14 1/8" x 9", and has three vertical folds and a fold at the center. The letter portion measures 9" x 7".
