Description
Ronald Wayne, Apple Co-Founder, Signed Replica Apple 1 Motherboard
Measuring 15" x 9", no place, undated. A replica Apple 1 computer motherboard signed and inscribed by one of the original co-founders of Apple, Ronald Wayne. Signed boldly on the far right "Ronald Wayne Co-Founder Apple Computer Co." with an inscription at the lower margin reading, "Gen X is the 1st generation to grow up with computers widely available. Go change the world!" Very fine condition.
Ronald Wayne (b. 1934) co-founded Apple Computer Company (now Apple Inc.) in partnership with Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs, providing administrative oversight for the fledgling company. The partnership did not last long, as twelve days later, he sold his 10% share of the new company back to Jobs and Wozniak for $800. One year later, he accepted $1,500 from the pair to forgo any future claim to the newly incorporated Apple. Despite Apple becoming one of the most valuable companies in the world, Wayne has maintained that he has no regrets, saying "You make a decision based on your understanding of the circumstances, and you live with it."
