Taft 1911 Appointment of Notary Public for the District of Columbia
Partially printed document signed by Taft and countersigned by Acting Attorney General appointing one George S. Livingston as a Notary Public of the District of Columbia for a five-year term. May 29, 1911, Washington, D.C. Evidence of prior matting to all four corners with light creasing and paper toning throughout. Sligh tearing to edges present. Boldly signed by both. A possibly rare signature combination! 16" x 20"
This was Livingston's second appointment to the position, the first being in 1906 by Theodore Roosevelt. Adorned with a Department of Justice seal in the lower left.
