Description
Native America, Southwestern United States, Anasazi (Ancestral Puebloan), ca. 1100 to 1300 CE. A wide bowl with a deep basin formed via the traditional coil-and-scrape technique. The vessel exhibits a round but stable base, upturned walls to form the basin, and a thin rim surrounding the top. The white buffware ground is decorated along the basin interior with a register of concentric zigzags that are perhaps representative of clouds or vegetal motifs. Size: 7.3" W x 3" H (18.5 cm x 7.6 cm)
