On the base is the stamped hallmark of 'Copeland Spode England' beneath the presentation 'A souvenir of Britain's most famous Political Family The Rt. Hon. Joseph Chamberlain, P.C., M.P. The Rt. Hon. Sir Austen Chamberlain, K.G., P.C., M.P. The Rt. Hon. Neville Chamberlain, P.C., M.P.', also '29' is embossed to declare the mold number of the plate. Apparently this plate was created to celebrate Chamberlain's "triumphant" return from the signing of the 1938 Munich Pact and his declaration of "peace in our time." Fine.
