Swatch, .50" x .375". Burgundy colored velvet swatch taken from George Washington's cloak. Encapsulated by CAG, measuring 2.375'' x 3.375''.
The cloak swatch has impeccable provenance, originating from the Tobias Lear family and passed down for generations along with a lock of Washington's hair which led to the 2010 sale in James D. Julia's Winter Antiques and Fine Art Auction.
George Washington was an American military officer, statesman, and Founding Father who served as the first president of the United States from 1789 to 1797.
